Remedies to Treat Rashes on Inner Thighs

Itchy thighs, commonly referred to as jock itch, can also affect women. This may be triggered by allergies, yes, but it is also possible that poor hygiene, weight gain, poor choice of clothing, excessive sweating and others can contribute to the chafing in the inner thighs that cause red marks on your skin. That being said, feeling the friction in these parts is enough to drive you crazy and uncomfortable too once you feel the itching and redness in this area. Is there any way to make this go away?

The good news is that there are several remedies that can help remove the rashes on your inner thighs and some of these include:

Stay dry always

Since sweating can also cause friction to occur in your inner thighs, you will need to make it a point to keep your skin always dry. Wear loose clothing in your lower half and choose clothes that are cotton based to help the air circulate.

Baking soda

Baking soda has numerous functions and it appears that it can also help alleviate the jock itch that you are experiencing at the moment. This ingredient works by keeping your skin dry and soothe any rashes and itching too. To use this remedy, you will need to combine a small amount of baking soda with water until you create a paste. Apply this mixture on the affected area and leave it on for about 20 minutes or so. Wash it off afterwards thoroughly.

Chamomile tea

Another possible remedy that can help you with your inner thigh rashes is to use chamomile tea. Not only does it help soothe the irritation away, but it can also speed up the healing process too. Steep the chamomile tea bags for a few minutes then allow to cool before placing on the affected areas of your skin. Leave them on for 10 minutes before you wash the skin with cold water. Make sure that you pat the area dry. This remedy can be done at least once a day to help improve your condition.

Apply moisturizer

It’s never a good idea to soak in the water for too long, or take a hot bath even since it can strip your natural oils. That said, once you are done with your bath or shower, you need to apply a thick and creamy moisturizer on areas that are prone to chafing to help prevent it in the first place.
