Knee pain can strike you any time regardless of your age and sex. Women appears to be more prone to knee pain compared to men with the pain being triggered because of the constant movement of the joints. Where the pain originates tend to vary where the extension and contraction of the muscles in the knee causing more pain as the days go by. There are several factors that can contribute to this condition such as getting fractures, aging, or getting injured.

That said, getting rid of the pain that is emanating from your knee can be helpful as it will help make you more mobile. Here are a few tips on how you can solve this problem.

Apple cider vinegar

The alkaline properties of apple cider vinegar has been found to dissolve any buildups in the joints and other toxins present. To use this remedy, mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of filtered water then drink it throughout the day. You should do this regularly until there is improvement.

Do some chores

This may sound counterintuitive but exercising your joints can actually help reduce the pain. You can scrub the floors or wash dishes if you like to help with the pain. It would help if you dip your hands or your knees in warm water to relax the muscles around them before you work.

Turmeric

Another remedy that can be used when you have knee pain is turmeric. This spice comes with curcumin which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Add one-half teaspoons each of turmeric and ground ginger in a cup of water then let it boil. Strain afterwards and add some honey for taste. You can drink this twice a day.

Prepare chamomile tea poultice

You can also make a chamomile poultice to reduce the pain in your joints if you like. Steep four chamomile tea bags in a cup of hot water. Allow it to steep for 20 minutes then remove the tea bags after squeezing them. Soak a cloth in the solution and apply on your aching joints.

Epsom salt

The magnesium sulfate that is present in Epsom salt has been found to provide relief to knee pain. This salt acts as a natural relaxant for the muscles by removing any excess fluids that are found in the tissues of the muscles thus minimizing the swelling and inflammation.
