Natural Remedies for Restless Leg Syndrome

Restless leg syndrome or RLS affects about 10% of the population in America where they experience creeping, itching, cramping, pulling, and even painful sensations going up and down their legs, particularly in their calves that jolt them awake while the rest of their body is already in deep sleep. What’s more, chamomile has a cooling and soothing effect that will help your muscles relax. You can make a tea out of chamomile by steeping a teaspoon of dried chamomile in a cup of boiling water. Drain then drink afterwards.
  • Warm and cold temperatures. Another possible remedy for your restless leg syndrome is to alternate cold and warm temperatures on your muscles. The changing temperatures may help make your muscles relax to avoid those sudden involuntary twitches or pain. You can massage your leg muscles too to get the blood flowing or you can have someone do it for you.
  • Apple cider vinegar. You should also consider taking some apple cider vinegar to minimize your restless leg syndrome symptoms.
