Coconut oil

That said, adding a few drops of this oil to your eyes can be beneficial to you because of its lubricating properties.

Omega-3 fatty acids

The absence of essential fatty acids, such as omega-3s, can also contribute to your dry eyes. We all know that omega-3 fatty acids can lower the amount of inflammation in your body and it can also help with promoting the production of tears in your tear glands. And because of the fat molecules contained in them, your eyes will get the nutrients they need to stay healthy.

Cucumber

If you are dealing with dry eyes often, then you might want to slice some cucumber and place them over your eyes. You can actually do this treatment 2 to 3 times in a day to help your eyes stay relaxed. Cucumbers work because of the vitamin A that they contain plus the soothing properties that they have help ease the dryness from your eyes.

Olive oil

Just like coconut oil, olive oil is extremely useful when it comes to lubricating your eyes because of the linoleic and oleic acids that it contains. The anti-inflammatories that this oil contains can also contribute to reducing the dryness and irritation as well. To use this oil, place a few drops of olive oil on your fingertips then use it to massage your closed lids. Cover them with your hands and allow the skin in your eyes to absorb the oil.
