Chapped lips happen when the skin on your lips is already dry or peeling. Rose petals. If you love roses then you’re in luck because their petals can actually be used to treat chapped lips. This remedy not only delivers nourishment but it can also help make your lips smooth and beautiful. Start by washing some rose petals in water then soak them in milk for a couple of hours. Mash them afterwards until you create a paste. Apply the paste on your lips one to three times in a day until you see positive changes to your lips.

Castor oil and petroleum jelly. Another remedy to treat chapped lips is castor oil. Simply rub some on your dry lips then apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly. This treatment will speed up the healing of your lips so you can see positive changes to it in just a few days or weeks.

Milk cream. Milk cream is also another useful treatment for chapped lips that you should try. One reason behind this is that milk cream is high in fat making it one of the best natural moisturizers there are. Just apply the milk on your lips and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse afterwards with cotton ball soaked in lukewarm water.

Wear sunscreen. Another simple remedy that can combat chapped lips is to wear sunscreen. Exposing yourself to too much heat or dry weather can rob your lips of their moisture. If you want to protect your lips from being chapped or cracked, you should wear sunscreen as much as possible.

Cucumber. You don’t have to look far for a remedy for chapped lips because you probably have some cucumber in your fridge. Experts have discovered that its juice is quite effective when it comes to preventing chapping or cracking lips from occurring. Simply rub a small slice of cucumber on your lips to evenly coat them with its juice. Leave the juice on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing. You should do this remedy several times within a day to prevent cracking and chapped lips from happening again.

Aloe vera. You can never go wrong with using aloe vera for dry, chapped lips. Its healing properties are the ones responsible for healing dry and burnt lips. You can for applying the juice of the plant or the gel that is coming from its leaves if you like to provide protection for your lips.
