How to Use Tea Tree Oil on Your Hair Effectively

Tea tree oil is commonly used in many beauty routines because of its antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties that can kill off germs and reduce inflammation. You’ve probably seen this ingredient in many beauty products like toner, soap, shampoo and the like. Aside from these, you can also use tea tree oil with other ingredients to promote better hair growth.

Tea tree oil and shampoo. One of the easiest ways for you to use tea tree oil is to simply add five drops of tea tree oil to the amount of shampoo that you use. Mix the ingredients thoroughly then apply on your hair and scalp. Massage for a few minutes then leave it on for about 5 to 7 minutes. Rinse afterwards with normal water. Tea tree oil for hair growth. If you want to boost your hair growth, tea tree oil will definitely help you out. This ingredient can help remove any buildup of dirt and hair products on the roots of your hair so that it will grow better. You only need to combine a few drops of tea tree oil with your choice of carrier oil like jojoba and almond oil then mix thoroughly. Apply it on your scalp then massage afterwards for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly. If you want to make your hair soft and more manageable, combine tea tree oil with olive oil.

Tea tree oil with almond oil. Almond oil has been used for hair treatments for centuries because it contains vitamin E, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids just to name a few. You should combine a teaspoon of tea tree oil with ten teaspoons of sweet almond oil. Combine these two thoroughly and apply on  your hair and scalp. Heat the oil until it is about to boil then remove from the fire. Transfer the oil into another container then heat it up by placing it in warm water. Test the oil whether it is warm enough for you then section your hair before applying the solution. It would be easier if you section your hair into four so that the oil will be evenly distributed. Massage the mixture gently then cover your head with a shower cap. Wait for 30 minutes. Rinse with shampoo and conditioner.

Tea tree oil, olive oil, and ginseng extract. Combining tea tree oil with olive oil and ginseng extract is another treatment that your hair and scalp will love. For one thing, ginseng extract is known to enhance the immune system so that the roots of your hair will become stronger. Also, this ingredient can reduce stress which, in turn, can reduce hair problems on your part. To use this hair solution, just combine five drops each of tea tree oil and ginseng extract with a teaspoon of olive oil and warm it up. Massage it on your hair and scalp for a few minutes then cover your head with a shower cap. Leave it on for an hour. Wash afterwards with mild shampoo.
