Tips to Squeeze in 10 Minutes of Workout in Your Day

Staying fit and healthy is important for us to be able to function at 100%. Unfortunately, due to our busy schedule, we end up gaining weight which poses a huge threat to our health. Health experts recommend that we do at least 45 minutes to an hour’s worth of workout. But since we can’t spare an hour of our time working out, the good news is that you can still keep yourself fit by squeezing at least 10 minutes of workout whenever you can.

How will you be able to do this? Here are a few tips for you to follow.

Start your day earlier. One of the most effective ways to ensure that you can exercise every day is to set your alarm clock earlier than usual. This way, you will have extra time to do even just 10 minutes of workout before you start your day.

Bring a jump rope with you. Jump ropes are one of the handiest fitness equipment that you can have with you as jumping up and down not only tones your leg muscles but also teaches you eye and hand coordination while at the same time, giving your heart a boost. A 10 minute workout with this tool will get your heart pumping and your metabolism up and running. The best part is that you can bring your jump rope with you wherever you go.

Sit on a ball. Another way for you to get some exercise into your otherwise busy day is to swap your chair with a stability ball. Sitting on a stability ball will keep your core working hard to ensure that you don’t fall off this moving seat. You may think that it’s not doing you any good but you might be surprised on how tight and hard your abdominal muscles are and the improvement on your posture too.

Use the stairs. Here’s something that you can do at home, at work, or when you are out with your friends. Instead of using the elevator or escalator, look for the stairs and use them. Going up and down using the stairs will challenge your muscles while giving your cardiovascular health the boost it needs. Doing this throughout the day is enough to get you the workout that you need to stay fit.

Double your workout. A busy day at work can make you just want to sit down and relax but if you haven’t gotten your fitness fix for the day, you might want to do it right now. If you have an exercise bike, pedal slowly while your show is running then speed it up during commercials. Even 10 minutes of this will leave you breathless and sweating a lot.

As you can see, there is simply no excuse why you can’t stay fit even if you have a lot on your plate. Just think about all the benefits that you can reap if you stay active.
