Tips on How to Get 6 Pack Abs

Building your 6-pack abs might be on top of your workout list but have you really achieved it as of now? No? Well, you are not the only one who seems to be struggling to get that tight and toned core. Most are trying out the different core workouts they found online and even watched in DVDs to the point that you no longer know which ones work and which one’s don’t. Some push themselves in the gym for hours on end every day to achieve that washboard abs. It is doable for some but for most of us, we just can’t really spend too much time in the gym. What then can you do to achieve your goal?

If you are aimig for 6 pack abs as quickly as possible but don’t know where to begin exactly, here are a few tips that you might want to try out.

Begin in your kitchen

When it comes to flushing out the excess fats in your midsection, you will need a little help in the food department. You see, no matter how hard you train your core muscles, if your food intake is made up mostly of processed and sweetened foods, you won’t be making much headway with your fitness goal. This doesn’t mean that you will be starving yourself too but rather choosing the right kinds of food and eating small portions of them. Load up on protein and fat burning foods such as leafy greens, apple cider vinegar, and fruits and ease up on processed foods and you will see some changes to your physical appearance.

Low reps per set

If you think that doing many reps per set in your workout is going to bust your belly from the fats stored in them think again. It’s not really important how many reps you do but rather increasing the resistance in your workout every time you find your set getting easier. Do this regularly and you will see the fats melting away from your midsection soon enough.

Don’t focus on abs alone

Just because you want to have a toned midsection, it doesn’t mean that you should just focus on it all the time. You can actually speed up the toning process when you exercise all of your muscles. You see, your muscles are the ones that burn fats so if you are not working them all the time, it’s going to be difficult for you to shed the fats that are in your body.

Try HIIT

When it comes to your workout, it is important that you incorporate HIITs or high intensity interval training as this can help you burn calories much faster compared to just doing the same workouts day in and day out. Since there will be minimal rest time in between sets, you will find it easier to bring your weight down and your muscles to become toned and tightened especially in your midsection.

Avoid maxing out on crunches

Regardless of how many crunches or even sit-ups that you do, it doesn’t mean that you are going to have a strong core. This has already happened in various instances where people are trying to achieve a 6 pack abs. You see sit-ups and crunches are only good for flexing your lower spine. Exercises such as planks, mountain climber, pushups, and side planks actually keep your spine stable and strengthen the surrounding muscles too so you will be able to work the core muscles more effectively.

With these tips, you are bound to get your six pack abs faster compared to before. Don’t push yourself too hard too fast as you might end up hurting yourself more.
