This is not surprising given that we tend to eat unhealthily since foods that are within reach are the chips and chocolates at the vending machine at the employees’ lounge as well as eating take outs too which we all know are usually high in fat content. Add to this the fact that we barely move from our seat also causes our weight to go up. Is there any way for you to halt weight gain in its tracks?

Choose water

Most of us consume drinks that are high in calories such as lattes, sodas, and the like. So if you’ve been guzzling down these types of drinks while you are at work, t’s no wonder that your weight is going up. If this is the case, switching to water or tea is highly recommended, since these are low in calories and help in flushing out the toxins that are causing your body to store fats.

Don’t forget your breakfast

There is simply no excuse for you to forget having breakfast before you leave home as this keeps you from snacking on those cakes and breads from your local coffee shop. Of course, you need to consider what breakfast you are having too since you want to have enough energy until your next meal.

Bring your lunch

Another trick that can help you lose weight even when you are at work is to bring your own lunch. You’ve probably ordered take outs or have eaten out most of the time with your co-workers. Although this does build camaraderie, check out the types of food that you often eat. For sure, your favorite staple are those fat and greasy foods but if you want to avoid adding to your weight, you should consider bringing your packed lunch with you. You can even ask your buddies to join you.

Vitamin D

Let’s face it, we barely get enough sunshine as it is. Since vitamin D is something that we cannot produce on our own, a little bit of sunshine in the morning can help us get the necessary vitamin to help bring our weight down. If you are stomped at work or you want to perk yourself up, get out and get some sunshine even for a few minutes.

Take a break

Another trick that can help you bring your weight down is to take breaks every hour to walk around, stretch, and such. Sitting all day can take a toll on your health because your blood is not flowing properly, your back will eventually ache, and so on. The best way to combat this is to set your timer to every half an hour for you to get up and just walk around or take a quick exercise using the stairs. Not only will this help you burn calories, but it will also wake you up too.

Just because you are at work, it doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to keep your weight down at all. These tricks can help you maintain a good weight anytime.
