Reasons for You to Drink Strawberry Infused Water

Infused water is especially popular during summer as it quenches thirst and boosts the immune system, too! And some of the most popular fruits that can be added to a pitcher of cold water are strawberries because they are refreshing and also packed with antioxidants and vitamins.

Making a pitcher of strawberry infused water is really easy. You are not going to break a sweat even if you have never tried your hands before at making water infused with the likes of lemon, orange, pineapple and cucumber slices.

But when making strawberry infused water, there’s one very important thing that you should remember: opt for organic strawberries. You want your water to be infused with strawberries that are loaded with nutrients, and not strawberries that are laced with pesticides, fertilizers and other chemicals.

To make your very first pitcher of water infused with strawberries, all you need to do is slice up 1/2 cup of fresh organic strawberries and then place them in a pitcher. Fill the pitcher with about 5 cups of distilled water and stash it in the refrigerator. Allow about an hour to pass before you take your first gulp.

Once you have consumed all of the infused water, you really don’t have to replace those sliced strawberries with a fresh batch — you can simply refill the water again and again. You can keep on doing this for up to a couple of days, after which you may replace old strawberries with fresh ones.

Here are some of the reasons why you should drink strawberry infused water:

It is Packed With Antioxidants

Especially during summer, it can be very easy for anyone to be exposed to excessive amounts of UV radiation from the sun. Did you know that it’s something that can trigger oxidative stress? Consuming strawberry infused water is a wonderful idea since it is loaded with antioxidants that help control oxidative stress and its effects.

Of course it’s still important to include many other vitamin C-rich foods in your diet to ensure optimum immunity.

It is Said to Help Lower Inflammation

Strawberries contain anti-inflammatory compounds, and this only means that infusing water with these fruits allows you to combat inflammation in a refreshing way. According to experts, so many health problems are linked to inflammation, and some of them include acne, obesity, arthritis, cancer, and the one that’s mentioned next.

You don’t want to have increased blood cholesterol levels because it is a well-known risk factor for heart disease.

It is Very Good at Hydrating Your Body

Strawberry infused water is delightful to drink because it has a more interesting taste than plain water. It’s because of this why you will be enticed to drink it more often, which is necessary for keeping your body hydrated. Unlike sodas, water infused with strawberry is very low in sugar so it won’t contribute that much to your total caloric intake.
