Quick Kitchen Treatments for Pain

We all experience pain at one point in our lives. The severity depends mostly on what caused it in the first place. More often than not, the pain tends to fade after a few minutes especially when you bumped yourself against a hard surface, you accidentally hit yourself with a hammer, or when you have a toothache. The more severe cases will require medications to alleviate the throbbing pain. But what if you’ve run out of medications in your home? The good news is that there are several kitchen treatments that are available today that can actually help banish the pain that you are feeling. Here are a few that you should know of.

Ginger is commonly used in many dishes but aside from adding that extra kick to your meals, it is also good for your treating various stomach problems such as indigestion, gas, and stomach pains. This is because ginger has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties that can provide you with immediate relief. Aside from incorporating ginger in your dishes, you can also prepare some ginger tea so that you’ll feel better soon. Mix it with some honey and lemon to get the full benefits of these ingredients.

Heartburn can happen to us from time to time especially when we ate too fast or our stomach become inflamed because of the food that we eat. When this happens, the pain that goes up in our esophagus can be excruciating at times. Although the pain will go away after a few minutes, you can use turmeric to help boost the digestive juices in your stomach so there will be less acid building up. You can add some turmeric to your meal or you can take turmeric capsules to lessen heartburn incidents.

Headache, toothache, and arthritis are common issues that need to be addressed immediately so you will feel better. One kitchen remedy that can help banish the pain associated with these ailments is clove. There are different forms of clove available today. You have the grounded version, whole clove, as well as clove oil. You can use whole cloves or the powdered version when you are cooking or, if you want a direct approach to treating toothache, use clove oil on your gums to banish toothache. Keep in mind that undiluted clove oil can affect the gums when used in excess so treat it with caution.
