Natural Remedies to Treat Diaper Rash Bleeding

Diaper rash is a common occurrence in babies as well as adults who often wear diapers most of the time to help with their bowel movements. Babies tend to get through several diapers in a day during the first few weeks as they do nothing but drink breastmilk. You can already imagine how many wet and soiled diapers you had to dispose of at this stage. But what about diaper rash?

Well, diaper rash often occurs when there is an irritation to the baby’s skin due to the friction that happens between their skin and the diaper. This can happen when the diaper is too tight or a bit loose around them hence chafing occurs. Another possible reason for diaper rash to occur is when you forget to change their wet or soiled diaper. The wet and moist environment can be a hot bed for bacteria and germs to thrive which can also irritate the skin. And when these rashes start to bleed, it’s going to cause many tears and discomfort to your baby. So how will you be able to treat this?

The good news is that there are natural remedies that you can use to help stop the bleeding and ease the discomfort that your baby is feeling. Here are a few that you can try if you are looking for safer alternatives.

Leave their bottom bare

One of the leading causes of diaper rash is the moist environment that gets trapped in the diaper area. The wetness from the pee plus the heat trapped in there can actually cause irritation on your baby’s skin which can appear as red bumps that are hot to the touch. If you want to make these inflamed parts of the skin disappear, leave the diaper off for a few minutes to allow air to dry the skin. Never put on a nappy on moist skin.
