Natural Remedies for Skin Tightening

Aging is a common reason for skin to lose its elasticity but there are other factors that can contribute to this such as too much exposure to sunlight. The UV rays coming from the sun can damage your skin cells thus causing premature aging to occur. Other reasons include pregnancy, rapid weight gain or weight loss, dehydration, and too much use of harsh chemicals on your skin.

Fortunately, tightening your skin to reduce the appearance of premature aging is possible with the help of some natural remedies like the ones listed below.

Aloe vera. One home remedy that you can use to tighten your skin is aloe vera. The gel of this plant contains malic acid which is known for its ability to boost the elasticity of your skin. Also, it can moisturize your skin which is important when you’re trying to maintain smooth and young looking skin. To use this treatment, simply harvest the gel from the leaves of the aloe plant and apply it on your face and neck. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse afterwards using lukewarm water.

Mustard  oil. Mustard oil comes highly recommended when it comes to tightening loose skin because it contains high amounts of vitamin E that can slow down aging and the appearance of wrinkles. For this treatment, you will need to heat half a cup of mustard oil until it becomes lukewarm. Apply the oil on affected parts or the entire body, whichever you prefer. Massage the oil in an upward motion for five minutes then take a shower as usual.

Honey. Another home remedy that can help you tighten your skin is honey. Honey has antioxidants, hydrating, and anti-aging properties that come in handy when you’re trying to reduce signs of aging. In this home remedy, you should combine two to three teaspoons of honey with a few drops each of olive oil and lemon juice. Mix them thoroughly then apply on your face and neck evenly. Leave it on until it has dried then rinse with warm water. You should do this twice in a day to get the best results.
