Got Gums That Ache? Here are Some Home Remedies for It

Warm salt water gargle.

Combine a tablespoon of finely-ground salt and a few drops of lemon juice. The goal is to come up with a paste that can help zap both swelling and pain. Gently massage it on the swollen part of your gums. Leave it there for a few seconds and then rinse your mouth with water.

Baking soda.

You may also count on baking soda each time your gums are leaving you in pain. All you have to do is add a few drops of water to a little baking soda, and massage on the trouble spot. Similarly, you may gargle with a glass of lukewarm water with a teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in it.

Apple cider vinegar.

Thanks to the anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties of apple cider vinegar, it may be employed for managing inflamed and painful gums at home. What you should do is mix a tablespoon of it in a glass of water, and then use as mouth rinse.

Tea bags.

Something as easy as pressing tea bags against the affected gums can help speed up the healing process as well as allow you to attain relief from the pain. Simply soak a tea bag in hot water for a few seconds. Allow it to cool for a bit and then leave it pressed against the problem area for about 5 minutes.

Aloe vera gel.

Do you have aloe vera in your garden? If so, you may break off a leaf and utilize the gel within for relieving gum swelling and pain. Massage aloe vera gel on the affected area and leave it there for a few minutes. Afterwards, rinse your mouth. You may also gargle with pure aloe vera juice instead.
