Eczema Relief Paste to Try

Eczema is a type of inflammatory skin disorder that is non-contagious but can make your days difficult especially when it flares up. This condition prevents your skin from producing oil hence it is hard for your skin to keep the moisture locked in. And because of this, eczema patients often end up with dry, itchy, flaky, and irritated skin. Although there is no treatment for this skin condition, the good news is that there are remedies that can help alleviate the flare ups. Here are a few eczema relief treatments that can help you out.

Eczema relief paste

For this remedy, you will need to prepare pure jojoba, turmeric, aloe vera gel, honey, and ground oatmeal. Combine pure jojoba and turmeric first until the turmeric is mixed thoroughly with the jojoba. Add the honey and aloe gel. Use a whisk or fork at this point to help incorporate the ingredients. The final touch is the ground oatmeal. Apply this paste on the affected areas using slow circular motion to help exfoliate the dead skin cells. Leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing.

Rosehip oil, shea butter, and dead sea salt

These three ingredients can help alleviate the discomfort that you feel with eczema since the rosehip oil is known for its moisturizing properties, while shea butter helps with restoring moisture too and making scars fade. As of the dead sea salt, it helps exfoliate the skin. To make this recipe, you will need 3 parts shea butter, adequate amount of dead sea salt, and one part of rosehip oil. Mix all three until you create a paste. Massage it carefully on the affected areas and leave it on for a few minutes. Rinse it off afterwards.

Coconut oil, nutmeg, and cocoa butter

Another set of ingredients that will do your skin a lot of good is the combination of coconut oil, nutmeg, and cocoa butter. For one thing, coconut oil is known for its ability to deliver nutrients to your moisture-starved skin while the cocoa butter can improve the amount of moisture that gets locked into your skin. Nutmeg, on the other hand, has the ability to reduce inflammation which you need for your eczema problems. You will need one part of the coconut oil, three parts of the cocoa butter, and enough nutmeg to complete your paste. Just like with the previous eczema pastes, apply this treatment in a circular motion on your skin and allow to sit for at least 15 minutes. Wash it off thoroughly.

Sweet orange essential oil and castor oil

What other remedies can you use to reduce your eczema flare ups? The combination of sweet orange essential oil and castor oil is worth trying out. The orange essential oil provides additional support to your body’s collagen production. Castor oil, on the other hand, is the star of this treatment because it is well-known for its ability to heal irritated and even dry skin. Mixing the two can reduce the heaviness of the castor oil while providing you with antibacterial and antiseptic properties too. Combine these two before applying on your skin.

Honey, baking soda, and clove essential oil

You should also try this remedy since raw honey is a good option to use for moisturizing as well as cleansing your skin. Baking soda, on the other hand, is often used to treat eczema because it can help bring back the natural pH levels of your skin. Don’t forget the clove essential oil since it has antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties that can help reduce your eczema flare ups. Mix the three ingredients until you form a paste then apply on your skin. Leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes then wash it off.
