DIY Face Masks to Try

For those who want to alleviate their skin’s dryness, these face masks are worth trying out.

Avocado. This fruit not only delivers nutrients from the inside but also on the outside. You will need half of a very ripe and soft avocado and ¼ cup of honey. Mash the ripe avocado in a bowl and add the honey. Mix the ingredients thoroughly then apply on your face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes before washing with a cool washcloth.

Banana, yogurt, and honey dry face mask. Here’s another amazing combination that will definitely revive your dry skin. You will need a tablespoon of honey, 2 fully ripe bananas, and half a cup of yogurt. Put all these ingredients in your blender and blend until they form a paste. Apply the paste onto your face evenly and leave it on for 20 minutes or until the mixture dries. Rinse with warm water.

Milk facial mask. This facial mask has been used for ages. Milk is known for its ability to nourish the skin which makes it a good choice for those with dry skin. Combine a tablespoon of runny honey, a teaspoon of powdered milk, 2 drops of organic essential oil, and a teaspoon of aloe vera gel and mix them thoroughly. Apply it on your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse the mask off using warm water.

Oat bran mask. What’s great about this DIY face mask is that the ingredients are most likely in your cupboard already. For this mask you will need yogurt, olive oil, oat bran, honey, and bee pollen (optional). Mix all the ingredients in a small dish and apply on your face. Leave the paste on for 10 minutes then rinse. You can moisturize your skin afterwards with argan oil for better results.

Brown sugar and olive oil face scrub. Sometimes our skin needs to be exfoliated to reveal new skin. The ingredients for this facial scrub include a teaspoon of pure organic coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil and a tablespoon of brown sugar. Place the brown sugar on the palm of your hand and add some oil to it until you create a paste. Massage the mixture on your face using circular motion then rinse it off with warm water. You can use any of the facial masks mentioned above to further enhance your skin’s condition.
