If you are experiencing aches and pains in your feet and leg muscles, doing an apple cider vinegar foot soak is guaranteed to ease your discomfort and more.

Here are some examples of benefits that you can get from doing an apple cider vinegar foot soak.

It banishes aches and pains. Swollen and aching feet can cause discomfort for sure but you can banish them with some apple cider vinegar. ACV is known for its anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the swelling in your feet and minimize the pains and aches that  you are suffering from. Just add one part apple cider vinegar to two parts water  and a few teaspoons of Epsom Salt. Soak your feet for 20 to 30 minutes to get rid of the aches and pains in no time.

It removes the smell. There are many factors that can make your feet smell like being constantly trapped in your shoes where there is moisture, medication, and even poor foot care just to name a few. This can lead to plenty of embarrassing moments for sure. Fortunately, you will be able to get rid of the smell with some help from ACV. Combine apple cider vinegar, thyme oil, hot water, and baking soda in a big bowl or small tub then soak your feet in it for at least 30 minutes. The apple cider vinegar will be able to remove any inflammation while the baking soda gets rid of the smell coming from your feet.

It treats athlete’s foot. Athlete’s foot is caused by a fungal infection that can be easily treated with the help of some apple cider vinegar. Simply prepare half a cup of apple cider vinegar and two tablespoons of Epsom salt and add them in a basin that is filled with warm water. Soak your feet in for 10 minutes every day. The solution can kill off the bacteria thriving in your feet by altering the environment of your feet. Another way speed up the healing is to wipe your feet with this solution after you take a bath or shower.

It exfoliates dry skin. Dry toes or feet can leave your skin cracked and prone to peeling. One way to revive your dry skin on your feet is to soak them in apple cider vinegar and use a pumice stone to exfoliate dead skin. Not only will this reveal healthier skin underneath but it can also boost blood flow to your feet so that more nutrients are being delivered to this part of your body.

It can remove calluses. Calluses can form on our feet from time to time but when they become too thick, they might cause discomfort in the long run. The good news is that you can remove calluses, dry skin, and even corn from your feet by doing an ACV foot soak. The acidic nature of ACV can break down any calluses, corn, or even fissures so that it will be easier for you to exfoliate your feet with a pumice stone. Just mix one part apple cider vinegar with two parts of warm water and soak your feet in it for 20 to 30 minutes. You can also apply the solution directly on the affected area by soaking a cotton ball in this treatment and placing it on the callus. Tape the cotton ball in place and leave it on overnight. Exfoliate the following day.
