Turmeric Tea Recipes to Reduce Inflammation

Turmeric is one of the most popular spices that we see in many kitchens as it adds a bit of kick to different types of meals. In this recipe you will need 4 cups of water, honey or lemon or it can be both if you like, and a teaspoon of turmeric. You will need to boil the water first before adding the turmeric. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove it from the heat and strain. Pour the tea into cups and lemon or honey to taste.

Creamy turmeric tea

Do you want to make your tea creamy? You will need a cup of coconut or almond milk, a pinch of cayenne, 1 ½ teaspoons of honey or any sweetener, ½ teaspoon of turmeric, and ½ inch of ginger root. Heat the almond or coconut milk in a small pan. Mix the ginger root, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and honey in a small bowl then add the warmed milk while stirring the mixture. Make sure that you mix thoroughly until all the lumps have been removed. Add the rest of the milk then mix again. Strain before serving.

Turmeric lemon tea

In this recipe, you will need a cup of boiling water, 1/8 tablespoon of ground ginger, cayenne, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/8 tablespoon of turmeric, and honey to give taste. Get a mug and mix the lemon juice, cayenne, ginger, and turmeric. Top it with boiling water then stir the ingredients well. Add honey to give your drink a taste. Sip this throughout the day to remove any inflammation in your body.

Sweet turmeric black pepper tea

For this recipe, you will need to prepare honey, lemon, ground turmeric, and freshly ground black pepper. Mash turmeric and honey until you create a paste and transfer into a jar if you like. To make the tea, you will need to add a heaped teaspoon of turmeric and honey paste into a mug and add boiling water. Add some honey and freshly ground pepper into the mix and stir well. Drink it afterwards.
