Treat Foot Pain Fast with These Home Remedies

There are many reasons why our feet can feel sore. Among these are fungal infections, dry and cracked heels, corns, or even ingrown. It is also possible that our feet can cause us discomfort because of the wrong footwear that we are wearing or when we have been on our feet for hours without taking a break in between. Regardless of what causes pain in your feet, it would be a relief to know that there are home remedies for you to try to alleviate the problem.

Sesame oil massage

One way to ease the throbbing pain from your feet is to make a sesame oil massage. To make this treatment, just combine clove oil to sesame oil and mix them thoroughly. Massage your feet with the oil. What this treatment can do is to boost blood flow in your feet to reduce inflammation and pain. You can repeat this treatment three times a day.

Do a foot soak

Another treatment that you can do for sore feet is to do a foot soak. Prepare two tubs, one filled with cold water and the other one with hot water that you can tolerate. First, soak your feet in the cold basin for five minutes then switch to the hot water. Keep alternating every five minutes to help promote blood flow in this area of your body. You can also do an essential oil foot soak if you like. Just add a few drops of your choice of essential oils in a tub of hot water and soak your feet in it for 10 to 15 minutes.

Vinegar

This particular ingredient is well known for its ability to treat foot pain like sprains and tendonitis. A good way to use this is to alternate cold and hot vinegar wraps. Just heat equal parts of water and vinegar and soak a towel in the mixture then wring it to get rid of excess water before wrapping around your foot. Leave it on for five minutes. Repeat the steps above but this time use cold water.

Massage

Another way to ease the pain from your feet is by giving them a good massage. You can use essential oils or olive oil for that matter to improve blood circulation in this area. You can also invest in a foot roller that is designed to massage the soles of your feet to release the tension here. A good recipe to try is mixing 3 drops of lavender oil, 1 drop of geranium oil, 1 drop of chamomile oil, and 2 teaspoons of olive oil.

Cayenne pepper

You can also use cayenne pepper to relieve muscle aches and pains such as arthritis, aching feet, lower back pain, and even muscle strain. All that you have to do is to add cayenne pepper powder to hot water and then soak your feet in this mixture. This will provide relief in no time.
