Make Your Lips More Kissable with These 5 Tips

Who doesn’t want to have soft, plump, kissable lips? Women like Angelina Jolie and Scarlet Johanssen may be blessed with perfectly plump lips but it doesn’t mean that we can’t have the same. Ditch the implants or plumpers bcause some good old-fashioned TLC can actually do the trick into making your lips more kissable than ever.

So what secrets should you know to achieve those beautiful and soft lips that will be hard to resist? Here are some tips to keep in mind.

Always moisturize your lips. It’s important to always have a lip balm on hand to prevent your lips from drying especially during the fall or winter when it’s windy. Applying lip balm before adding lipstick will ensure that you have a smooth canvas to work on for a more even application. There are plenty of moisturizing lip balms being sold today or you can make your own, whichever you prefer.

Add some polish. One of the simplest ways of making your lips more noticeable is to add some sheen to them. It doesn’t matter whether you will be applying some colored lip gloss or clear gloss, with the light bouncing off your lips, they will be more noticeable than before. Add some on the center of your lower lip for a more natural look.

Hydrate. Another tip to making your lips plump up is to ensure that you are properly hydrated. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water per day can help hydrate your skin and your lips. This is important particularly in those times when the air is dry because the moisture in your lips can be sucked out leaving you with dry, cracked lips.

Exfoliate your lips. The dead skin cells on our lips can contribute to their dullness which is why you need to exfoliate them from time to time. There are many exfoliating products out there that you can apply on your lips before rubbing gently to get rid of those dead skin cells so that newer ones will appear.

Don’t forget to line. Thin lips shouldn’t stop you from having kissable lips because you can make them appear fuller and plumper by adding lines. Tracing a line lightly on the outside of your lips can add more emphasis to your lips and will even aid you in applying your favorite lipstick.

Choose the right color. Of course, the color of your lipstick can play a part on how your lips will look. Dark colored hues can make your lips look flat but going for the pale pink or nude colors can add more to your lips. Using tints and stains can also add to how your lips will look fuller so make sure that you practice with them until you get your desired results.

Just because your lips aren’t as plump as some of our favorite actresses, it doesn’t mean that we can’t make ours look as kissable as theirs. With these tips in mind, you will be able to make your lips look fuller and more kissable than before.
