Grow Hair Thicker with These Remedies

It doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman, we all want to have luscious, thick hair. Although hair fall is a common occurrence, because new hair growth will replace the ones that have fallen, seeing a thinning or bald patch on our head is a cause for concern. Balding or thinning hair can be caused by stress, hormonal imbalance, medical issue, and even use of medications. Yes, there are over-the-counter medications that can put a halt to your hair fall woes, but sometimes the chemicals that they contain can do more harm in the long run. Fortunately, natural remedies are available to those who want to bring back the natural thickness of their hair.

If you are interested, here are some to get you started.

Orange juice.

One home remedy that you can use to help your hair grow thicker is orange juice. This refreshing, citrusy drink can make your hair extra soft and shiny while making it grow thicker. Simply apply the orange juice on your hair but make sure the pulp is not included. Rinse afterwards.

Coconut oil.

It appears that coconut oil is not just for your skin but your hair too. Prepare four tablespoons of coconut oil and two teaspoons of lime juice. Combine the two ingredients then apply on your hair. Massage for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the solution to penetrate deep into your scalp. Keep in mind that this is for the scalp only and should be left on for about 70 minutes before rinsing. Regular use of this remedy will help improve your hair’s condition.

Olive oil.

When coconut oil is not available in your local drugstore, you can always make do with what you have in your kitchen. Olive oil may not be as good as coconut oil in terms of moisturizing your hair but it will suffice. Use at least a teaspoonful of olive oil and use it on your scalp. Massage for a few minutes to help improve blood flow in your scalp and also to boost absorption of the oil as well. You can also use olive oil when cooking to help your body absorb healthy fats that will improve your hair’s condition.

Castor oil.

Another possible solution to your hair woes is castor oil. Just like olive oil, castor oil can also help nourish your hair so that it will improve your hair’s thickness. Simply combine a small amount of castor oil with a teaspoon of honey and apply on your hair and scalp. You should do this treatment 3 to 4 times a week to boost hair growth.

Aloe Vera.

Growing thicker hair can be done with some help from aloe vera. The aloe plant is well known for its moisturizing properties which is why it is a good remedy for thinning hair. You can either get hair products that contain this ingredient or, if you have the plant on hand, cut a few leaves and extract the gel. Apply the gel on your hair and scalp and let it do its work. Don’t forget to wash after a few minutes. What’s great about using this treatment is that you can repeat it as many times as you want and without worrying about any side effects at all.

Vinegar.

Hair problems like thinning hair can also be addressed with the help of some vinegar. It can be the white vinegar or apple cider vinegar whichever you prefer. Simply wash your hair with some vinegar solution and allow it to seep into your scalp for a few minutes. You can massage if you like but make sure that you wash afterwards with regular shampoo.
