Fragrance Hacks to Try to Smell Amazing

Most of us buy different kinds of perfume to help us smell nice throughout the day. You’ve probably invested a considerable amount of money on pricey scents and have literally littered your dresser and your bathroom sink with them. However, many of us wonder why can’t we make our scents last longer when applied on our body. Well, there are a few fragrance hacks that you should take advantage of to smell absolutely amazing all day long.

Avoid rubbing your fragrance after putting it on

We often make the mistake of rubbing the areas where we sprayed our scents. This habit of ours is actually removing the top layer of the fragrance, leaving the middle and base only thus limiting the longevity of the perfume on our skin. You only need to spray on the back of your neck and on your wrists, or mist the fragrance on the air then walk through it to get the most scent on your body.

Apply unscented lotion first

Did you know that those who have oily skin can retain the scent of their perfume longer than those who have dry skin? If you have dry skin, make sure that you apply some unscented lotion first on your body before spraying your favorite fragrance to help keep the smell longer on your body.

Wash your hair

If you think that body odor is the only smell that you should be wary of, think again. Your hair can smell bad too if you don’t give it a proper washing. When your hair starts to feel greasy and look unruly, give it a thorough washing as much as possible. Use your regular shampoo and conditioner, or, give it a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week to help it retain moisture. You don’t really need to wash your hair every day but if your hair starts to become greasy, it needs your attention and fast.

Pay attention to your pulse points

Another trick to making you smell good throughout the day is to know where to spray your fragrance. A good idea to follow is to apply the scent on your pulse points or warm area so that the smell will be diffused throughout the day. Among the areas where you can put your scent are the neck, wrists, inside the elbows, below your midriff, behind your knees, on your calves or ankles. Choose a few pulse points to apply your fragrance and not all the areas at the same time.

Use foot spray

If your feet tend to smell after a few hours of walking, bringing a foot spray with you can save the day. Since your feet are enclosed in shoes the whole day, sweat gets trapped thus causing your feet to smell. Spraying some foot spray can eliminate the odor so you won’t have to worry about any odor emanating from your feet.

These are just a few fragrance hacks that will help you smell great throughout the day. So try them out today and see which ones work best for you.
