Simply combine baking soda with your choice of facial cleanser. Gently rub the mixture on your face and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse afterwards.

Classic Sugar Scrub. Another DIY exfoliating scrub that you can do on your own is the classic sugar scrub. You will need sugar and your choice of vegetable oil. You can opt for brown or white sugar for this scrub and coconut, olive or any other oil that you like. The ratio should be 2:1 where for every tablespoon of oil that you add, you add two sugars. Combine the two ingredients then apply some on your face before rubbing gently. Rinse afterwards to remove dead skin and excess scrub.

Nourishing Sugar Scrub. Aside from the basic classic sugar scrub, this DIY scrub will also help nourish your skin for a more glowing look. For this scrub, you will need 1 teaspoon of raw sugar, ½ teaspoon of honey, and of course, fresh lemon juice. You need to combine the sugar with honey and squeeze some lemon juice into the mixture. Mix them thoroughly. If you find the scrub to be too loose, add more sugar to it.

Baking Soda and Coconut Oil Scrub. Baking soda is believed to have a drying effect on the skin especially after prolonged use but not when you use coconut oil with it. Simply combine the two to create your scrub then apply on your skin. Rub it on gently to help remove dead skin then rinse afterwards.
